Hilan Warshaw is a filmmaker and writer living in New York. Through his production company, Overtone Films LLC, he has produced videos for organizations including Carnegie Hall, Dicapo Opera Theatre, and the League of American Orchestras, as well as independent narratives and documentaries. His video editing and writing credits include documentaries for PBS and other networks.
He is also an experienced teacher, lecturer, and author of research articles on film and the arts. He has recently lectured at venues including NYU, Hofstra University, and Barnard College, where he taught a course on Romanticism and Film in autumn 2011.
