Hilan Warshaw is a filmmaker and writer living in New York. In addition to directing his own films, his writing and video editing credits include documentaries for PBS and other networks.

Hilan is currently producing and directing Music-Cinema, a new series of short films inspired by pieces of classical music.

His writing work includes a research article about film and Richard Wagner's operas, which was recently published by McFarland Press. He has also written about music for Carnegie Hall and other organizations.

Hilan has a B.F.A. and M.F.A. from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He is on the Video Arts faculty at Usdan Center for the Arts, and has lectured about film and opera at Hofstra University.
